Does Avon have a document shredding program for sensitive materials?
Each year, the City of Avon offers residents the opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive documents that you do not want to put in your refuse or recycling containers. Documents containing personal information, such as your Social Security Number, medical records, tax and banking information, etc. can be brought to the parking lot at Avon City Hall, located at 36080 Chester Road, to be safely shredded while you watch. Please refer to the calendar on the Garbage and Recycling page for the two dates per year we do this. For more information about shredding of sensitive documents, contact Avon's Clerk of Council & Residential Recycling Coordinator, Barbara Brooks, at (440) 937-7821.
