Legal Committee
The Legal Committee of Council is comprised of Chairman, Ward 4 Councilman, Dan Urban and members, Dennis McBride, Ward 2 Councilman and Dan Zegarac, Council President. This Committee works closely with Director of Law, John Gasior, to discuss the application of law to issues that affect our municipality. The Legal Committee keeps a continuous, watchful eye on options to improve our Codified Ordinances, the laws that govern our City, to not only keep Avon compliant with changing State and Federal legal requirements, to also offer legislation specificly suited to our community for the betterment, safety and welfare of our residents and the people who visit and work in our City. Through research and experience, both practical and professional, Legal Committee members give careful, detailed consideration to the many legal issues inherent to a secure, well planned and prosperous City.
