Utilities Department

The Utility Department provides water and sanitary sewer service throughout the City. We purchase wholesale water from Avon Lake Municipal Utilities. The City utilizes the French Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility, owned by the City of North Ridgeville, and portions of the City of Avon utilize Avon Lake Municipal Utilities for removal and treatment of sewage.

The City offers different methods to pay your water bill. For those that prefer to have an automatic monthly payment/ACH debit to your bank account, just fill out the enrollment form and return to City Hall to get this started. See the link below for this form. Or, you can mail your payment to the City’s lockbox account as indicated on your bill. You may also pay your bill in person at City Hall by check, cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover).

We offer credit card payment online as well. You must first register using the link below. Registering for this service gives you visibility to your account history through Utility Connect. You will be able to see your usage, billing and payment history. You do not have to make a credit card payment to register for Utility Connect.
