Ms. Young has been Clerk of Council since December of 1999.  She is a member of the Board for the Northeast Ohio Municipal Clerks Association, an active member of the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association, the International Institute of MUnicipal Clerks and is a provisional member of the Ohio Association of Parliamentarians.  Ms. Young has been acknowledged by her peers with several awards and Certificates of Achievement, is recognized as a co-founder of the Avon Senior Advisory Commission and is also the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Avon.  She has been an Avon resident since 1992 and has three daughters.

Mrs. Hayden first began working for the City of Avon in 1986 as Assistant Clerk of Council.  She served in that capacity for four years, then as the Secretary to the Mayor for four years.  In 1994, Mrs. Hayden retired and in 1998 returned to work for the City as Assistant Clerk of Council.  She has been an Avon resident since 1965, is married to Ken and they have two sons.
