Finance Committee
The Finance Committee of Council is comprised of Chairman, Ward 2 Councilman Dennis McBride and members, Mary Berges, Councilwoman At Large and Kevin Ward, Ward 3 Councilman. Council serves as stewards of all funds necessary to operate the City of Avon and gives careful consideration to each financial commitment and concern. Due to the diligence of Mayor Smith, Finance Director Bill Logan, Council as a Whole and the Finance Committee of Council, Avon currently enjoys a Aa1 rating, which denotes the financial health of a municipality. Only one higher rating can be given in the State of Ohio, Aaa, which is typically reserved for larger cities. Each Finance Committee meeting addresses issues that help Council-as-a-Whole achieve the highest level of fiancial success in meeting the needs of the entire community.
