Facility Information

The Community Center is used for various Recreation programs, civic group meetings and private events. This facility is perfect for baby/bridal showers and birthday parties!

Facility Rental Agreement:  

Please click here to view the facility calendar to see available dates.  If a date is available, you are able to request a reservation online, this reservation request is tentative until approved by a Parks & Rec. You will be instructed to pay the deposit online; your credit card will not be charged until the date is approved.  Once it's approved you will receive next steps for hourly fees. A rental agreement will also need to be completed (see below).  Please not that hourly fees are due 60 days prior to your event.   

Rates:  

Please see rates listed below.  Your set up and clean up time needs to be included when picking your start and end time. Time is tracked and those that go over their allocated time will be charged the appropriate hourly rate.  This could result in forfeiture of part, or all, of your security deposit. 

Payments:  

Refundable security deposit required to secure the date.  The hourly rental fees are due 60 days prior to the event date.  If they are not paid by this time, you will lose your deposit and reservation.  Any booking less than 60 days from the event date require both the security deposit and rental fees upon reservation. Payments can be made at the Parks & Rec Office, 35001 Schwartz Road, with check or credit card (NO CASH). There will be a $50 service charge for any check that is returned for insufficient funds. Please provide proof of residency (I.D. & utility bill).

Security:

An off-duty officer will be required for any event serving alcohol. Security hours must be reported to the Avon Parks & Recreation Department no later than 60 days prior to your event. The Parks & Recreation Department will make arrangements with the Avon Police Security Detail. Payment must be made in cash or check and given directly to the officer, in the amount of $60 per hour, on event date. (Fees subject to change without notice)

$120 - 4 hour minimum 

$20 - Each additional hour

Friday-Sunday & Holidays

 $180- 6 hour 

 $350- ALL DAY (9am-Midnight)

Non-Resident/Non-Resident Business

Monday-Thursday                   

$200 – 4 hour minimum

$25 – Each additional hour

$100 – Refundable security deposit

Friday-Sunday & Holidays

 $300- 6 hour 

 $550- ALL DAY (9am-Midnight)

Access Keys:

Keys to the Avon Community Center MUST be picked up at Avon Parks & Recreation Department (35001 Schwartz Rd) the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (8:00am-3:30pm) before weekend events.  For weekday events keys can be picked up 2 days prior to event date between 8:00am – 3:30pm.  Anyone found entering the building any time other than contracted will be charged the appropriate hourly rate.  

Cancellations:

Cancellations: Any cancellations received within 60 days of the event date will receive a full refund of the security deposit & any paid hourly fees. If cancellation is less than 60 days of the event date only the security deposit will be refunded. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will forfeit the security deposit and hourly fees.
