Private Utilities

Non-City Utilities

This page contains information about utilities offered in the City of Avon. Regarding our gas and electric, we are a member of Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC). NOPEC is a non-profit council of governments and pro-consumer lobbying force dedicated to bringing reliable, stable and lower energy costs to families and businesses in Northeast Ohio.

The following two documents are very helpful in understanding how this program works: NOPEC FAQs (PDF), Gas FAQs (PDF), Electric FAQs (PDF), Public Utilities Commission - Choosing an Electric Supplier (PDF), Ohio EPA

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your utility bills or service, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) is a great resource. You can visit their website at PUCO.
