1. Is my citation waiverable?

Please check the waiver schedule to see if your citation is waiverable.

2. What is the cost of the citation?

Costs of the citations can be found on the waiver schedule.

3. When is the waiver amount due?

You can pay your waiverable ticket up to the day before court in person at the Clerk of Courts's office. You may mail the ticket and your waiver payment at least 10 days prior to your court date. Your court date is located at the bottom of your citation.

4. Where do I send my payment?

Our address is on the reverse side of the citation. You send the payment to the City of Avon Clerk of Courts, 36080 Chester Road, Avon, OH 44011.

5. What methods of payment are acceptable?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and any debit cards with the MasterCard or Visa logo. Cash and checks (no out of state checks, please) are also acceptable. You can also pay online. Please use the link on the main Mayor's Court webpage.

6. Who should I make my check out to?

Make checks payable to the City of Avon Mayor's Court.

7. Will the Mayor be hearing my case at the Mayor's Court?

No. the court is presided over by the Magistrate, Thomas Stringer, who decides the cases.

9. How can I find out when my court date is?

The court date is noted on the bottom of the citation you received. For any other questions regarding a court date, please contact the Clerk of Courts office, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
